These waist belts are cut from Premier Bridle Leather tanned and curried in the English tradition. This Bridle leather is made from U.S. Native Steer Hides that are slowly veg-tanned with the right amount of waxes, greases, and tallows that make it weather resistant with minimal stretch. Hides are drum dyed for maximum penetration. All this adds up to a waist belt that combines beauty, strength, flexibility and character at an Affordable Price. The closest to bridle leather made in England that I have found.
I am offering these belts in 1 1/2 inch or 1 1/4 inch width, black or chestnut brown only. Leather is 9-10 ounce in thickness (9/64" to 5/32").
How to measure for best fit- Often times a waist size can best be taken from an old belt that the wearer is comfortable with. Measure from where the buckle tongue crosses the toe bar to the hole most used. If your buckle is a trophy buckle on your old belt, measure from the buckle hook to the hole most used. This is the correct waist size.
Alternately, without a belt on, pull measuring tape snugly around waist Outside of the belt loops of garments. Do not pull tight
